He Rented A Van For Strangers
After his flight to Los Angeles was grounded due to mechanical issues, Reeves organized a van to make the two-hour trek from Bakersfield. Instead of hopping in a private ride, Reeves spent the two-hours in the van with fellow passengers, regaling them with facts about Bakersfield, Calif., playing country music on his phone and saying goodbye to each passenger as they were dropped off, according to a Tweet thread from a fellow passenger.
He’s Super Generous
Reeves’ generosity is legendary. Aside from taking pay cuts on films, he reportedly once gave a set builder on “The Matrix” a $20,000 Christmas bonus when he heard of his financial troubles.
The “John Wick” star has also donated millions to SickKids, PETA and Stand Up to Cancer. Reeves, whose sister Kim has battled leukemia, has his own cancer charity that he chooses not to attach his name to.
"Money is the last thing I think about. I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries," he told Hello.
He Rescued Someone On The Side Of The Road
A Redditor told the story of how Keanu pulled his Porsche over on the side of the road after spotting a woman having car trouble. In a time before cell phones were ubiquitous, Reeves called AAA after jumpstarting her car failed. When the tow truck showed up, he offered to drive her home – 50 miles out of his way. Always a gentleman, Reeves dropped her off, gave her his phone number and said to call him if she needed further help.
He Does His Own Stunts – At Age 55
Have you seen “John Wick”? Keanu is in full-on beast mode for all three franchise instalments, completing 90 per cent of the film’s stunt work himself. With a fourth entry to the franchise announced for 2021, Reeves will be 56 by the time the movie hits theatres.
He Just Admitted His Crush On Sandra Bullock
Twenty-four years after they starred together in “Speed”, Reeves revealed he had a crush on co-star Sandra Bullock in an interview. The feeling was mutual: Bullock admitted to Ellen DeGeneres that she too had a crush on Reeves in 1994. It has been 13 years since they re-teamed for “The Lake House” in 2006. Someone cast these two in a movie ASAP!
He’s Very Deep
He may have made a name for himself as a surfer bro, but Reeves runs deep. During an appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”, Reeves had a very thoughtful answer to the question of what happens when we die: "I know that the ones who love us will miss us." His reply quickly went viral.
He Let Santa Ride His Motorcycle
Arch Motorcycle Company
Would you say no to the guy in the big red suit? Reeves, who co-founded the motorcycle manufacturer Arch Motorcycle Company in 2011, let Santa go for a spin. A long-time motorcycle lover, the actor also famously bought “The Matrix” stuntmen their own Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
He’s Can’t Stop Doing Things
There's a Twitter account is dedicated to sharing pictures of Reeves doing everything from wearing hats, to buying groceries and putting a bottle of wine in his jacket as he climbs onto his motorcycle.
He also has a full Reddit thread dedicated to his awesome acts. Named “Keanu Being Awesome”, its stories and photos of the acts being, well, awesome: showing up at public screenings of movies, posing for pictures with babies, camping solo, admiring dogs, and giving up his seat to a woman on the subway.
