Heidi Crashes The Party
The first episode of “The Hills” was just a tease of the future drama to come between Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag. If this were real life, there’s no way Lauren would have kept her job at Teen Vogue after she allowed pal Heidi to crash an industry shindig.
‘The Girl Who Didn’t Go To Paris’
Lauren will forever be the “girl that didn’t go to Paris” after she said “non” to an internship in the City of Lights to hang out with her then-boyfriend Jason Wahler. But maybe it wasn’t such a bad decision: Whitney Port told Vogue the internship was a fake. Though Port filmed scenes at the airport of her departing in Lauren’s place, she revealed that after curbside filming, she turned around and went home. C’est la vie.
Justin Bobby’s Beach Attire
Audrina Patridge’s on-again, off-again bad boy boyfriend Justin Bobby didn’t exactly win over fans or fashionistas. Nobody said it better than Lauren: "Homeboy wore combat boots to the beach. I know you don't want to call that your boyfriend." Maybe not, but the two reportedly reconnected following Audrina's 2017 divorce.
‘I Know What You Did’
From BFFs to enemies in season three, rumours of a sex tape between LC and Jason were swirling. Thanks to ongoing lies and manipulation by Spencer, Heidi believed the rumours to be true, fuelling the flames in the lead-up to one of the show’s most-epic moments as the two crossed paths at an L.A. hotspot.
Forgive And Forget
After a tension-building season three, Heidi and Lauren’s feud came to one of the most epic friendship-ending conversations of all-time. “I wanna forgive you, and I wanna forget you,” Lauren told Heidi following the drama.
Whitney took a tumble on live TV during a segment on Oscar gowns on “Good Morning America”. Mortifying moment? Sure. Even worse: watching your co-worker and friend Lauren stifle a laugh.
Audrina became a third wheel after Lauren’s high school bestie Lo Bosworth moved into their apartment. As Audrina lets her feelings of being left out be known, Lauren supplied us with the perfect single mascara-stained tear. It’s a thing of beauty.
The New Heidi
Heidi debuted her new look after a series of cosmetic surgeries, including breast implants and a nose job. Flying home to Colorado, her mom had some harsh words for her daughter: "You looked more beautiful before.”
Surprise! It’s Kristen!
As Lauren moved from “The Hills” to “The City”, Kristen Cavallari moved right in, showing up at Heidi and Spencer’s wedding wearing a dress that looked an awful lot like Lauren’s. Lauren’s facial reaction is a gift for a the ages.
The Final Shot
Okay, so we all know the cast was fed lines and behind-the-scenes editing wrenched up the drama, but no one was expecting the final scene to have the camera pan out to reveal Brody Jenner standing on a film set, showing the entire “reality” TV show was far from it.
