The coronavirus pandemic has changed the wedding plans of couples worldwide; Bachelor Nation is not immune.
While we count down the days until the premiere of “The Bachelorette”, which really does look like the most dramatic season ever, we check in on some beloved series stars who had to put their nuptials on hold.

Toronto-based Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt, who found love on the fifth season of "Bachelor in Paradise" (currently streaming on HBO Max), had to postpone their wedding due to the pandemic. The couple, who got engaged in August 2019, had originally planned to wed in November 2020 and have rescheduled for 2021.
Loch and Wendt both announced the postponement on their Instagram accounts, with Loch sharing a sweet message for her future groom. “It’s been a great reminder of why we’re getting married in the first place,” she wrote. “I wouldn’t want to tackle 2020 & the rest of life with anyone else by my side. 2021 is our year @kevin.c.wendt 🤍.”

It may not have worked out on "The Bachelorette" for Jillian Harris but she went on to find love – and a family – with fellow Canadian, former snowboarder Justin Pasutto. The engaged parents of two had plans to marry this summer but called off their celebrations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Fraiche Food Full Hearts author shared the wedding update on her blog, JillianHarris.com, with a special message to brides who are also in her shoes. “We went back and forth on this decision and while it was tough, we knew in our hearts the best thing to do was to postpone everything due to the uncertainty of COVID,” she wrote. “I know that there are SO many brides and grooms out there who are dealing with the same situation as Justin and I and it’s so heartbreaking (my heart goes out to all of you!!) but I know eventually we will still have our day!”

While "Bachelor" alum Wells Adams and actress Sarah Hyland didn’t make it official on their original wedding date – August 8, 2020 – they did commemorate their love in style. The Los Angeles-based pair celebrated with a trip to wine country and a festive photoshoot, complete with white outfits and a veil for Hyland.
The "Modern Family" star shared photos of the day on Instagram. “We were supposed to get married today. Instead... we took pictures and drank wine. I love you to Pluto & back @wellsadams.”

The "Bachelorette" favourites shared in June that they had to postpone their spring wedding due to the pandemic. “6.13.20 ... Happy ‘What would have been Wedding Day’ to us!” Fletcher posted on Instagram, along with a sweet photo of the duo.
The "Cash Pad" host also had nice words for her future husband. “Even though I don’t get to marry you todayyyyy… I know it will be all more worth the wait.”

The season 4 "Bachelor in Paradise" stars had to postpone their wedding several times due to COVID-19. "We were supposed to be married three times by now and haven't yet," Gates confessed to Chris Harrison during an episode of "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!"
2020 has been an eventful year for the Dallas-based couple despite the postponed nuptials, celebrating Adam’s 30th birthday and moving into their new house.

Former Bachelor Ben Higgins got engaged to love Jessica Clarke at her family home in Franklin, Tennessee, earlier this year.
During an episode of the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast, Higgins shared that the couple initially had their hearts set on a November 2020 wedding. They’re now searching for a date next year. "We don't have an exact date yet. We're finalizing the location of it," Higgins said. "But I do believe that it will be in November of 2021 that we will be getting married."

"The Bachelor Australia" favourites Matty Johnson and Laura Byrne met on the romantic television show’s fifth season. After dating for several years, Matty proposed on their Fijian babymoon in 2019 and the couple had originally planned on tying the knot in 2020.
The pair are now planning on marrying in 2021 and recently announced that Byrne is pregnant with their second child.
