In November, Meghan Markle announced that earlier in the year she suffered a miscarriage with her second child.
"I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second," she wrote in an emotional op-ed in the New York Times.
Royal Train Tour
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge undertook a Royal Train Tour in December where they visited Scotland, England and Wales. However, the timing of the tour came under fire as many places were still restricting travel due to the pandemic.
