Fans of Flanagan’s other projects will recognize familiar faces among the cast including his wife Katie Siegel, Henry Thomas, Annabeth Gish and Rahul Kohli.

Everyone's favourite evil doll is heading to the small screen with Brad Dourif reprising his voice role as Chucky. A direct sequel to the previous seven movies about the red-headed doll with a penchant for murder, Showcase's "Chucky" is an angsty coming-of-age tale centred around teen Jake (Zackary Arthur). Bullies, sexuality, and yes, murder, are all here when "Chucky" premieres on Oct. 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Showcase.

A small town chool teacher (Keri Russell) and her sheriff brother (Jesse Plemons) become concerned one of her students is harbouring an evil supernatural creature inside his house. Filmed in Vancouver in 2018, “Antlers” is produced by Guillermo del Toro.

The past and present begin to fall apart as dark and terrifying secrets and consequences are revealed.

The Buzz: Ten years after secret serial killer killer Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, he is now living under a new name in a new city far away from his original Miami hunting grounds. Michael C. Hall is reprising the lead role and John Lithgow will return (presumably in flashbacks) as the Trinity Killer in the rebooted series.

The Buzz: Set in 1843, “The Last Thing Mary Saw” centres around a young woman (Isabelle Fuhrman) under investigation following the mysterious and violent death of her family’s matriarch. The hype surrounding the film ahead of its world premiere at Montreal’s Fantasia Festival was so huge, Shudder swooped in and picked it up for distribution before it screened for audiences.

The Buzz: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette are all back for another round of the Ghostface Killer. Though it’s billed a relaunch of the franchise, it’s a direct sequel to “Scream 4” and is said to focus on a young woman who returns to her hometown only to encounter a number of murder cases linked to a mysterious masked killer. It also marks the first time OG director Wes Craven won’t helm a “Scream” franchise film.

The Buzz: “Sinister” director Scott Derrickson reteams with star Ethan Hawke to bring a short horror story by Joe Hill (son of Stephen King) to the big screen. While Hawke may have played a good guy in “Sinister”, this time around he gets to play a killer who kidnaps a man named Finney Shaw and traps him in a soundproof basement. Finding a disconnected phone, Finney discovers its ability to transmit the voices of the killer's previous victims, who try to help him escape.

And quite frankly that’s more than enough to get us and everyone else buzzing.
