After the huge success of film’s like “Tick, Tick… Boom!”, “Dear Evan Hanson”, “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” and “In the Heights”, the stage-to-movie trend just keeps on going with even more exciting adaptations on the way.

Newcomer Alicia Weir will take on the titular role, while Emma Thompson will play the terrifying Miss Trunchbull in Netflix's all-singing all-dancing adaptation of "Matilda the Musical".

'Wicked'

One movie that's sure to be "Popular" is "Wicked" starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

Production is slated to begin in June 2022.
