The highly-bingeable new series directed by Ben Stiller has a bit of a sci-fi within its central mystery. Adam Scott stars as a man who has the ultimate work/life balance after electing to undergo a procedure that permanently separates his work persona with who he is out of the office. Unable to access personal memories at work and vice versa, “Severance” brings unique and thrilling twists as it unfolds.

Adapted from a book by Gillian Flynn, this is a dark look at female power and rage outside of typical gender stereotypes. Directed by the late Jean-Marc Vallee, the series racked up numerous award nominations for stars Patricia Clarkson and Amy Adams.

Full of “Lord Of The Flies” vibes, “The Society” sees a group of teens return from a school camping trip to find their hometown abandoned by adults. After some exciting moments of liberation from adult supervision, the teens must learn to navigate their survival through alliances they forge. It’s a shame the series only lasted one season, but despite a cliffhanger ending, it’s still an easy weekend binge-watch.
