The Face That Launched 1,000 Memes

Four-year-old Prince Louis was overwhelmed by the sound of the Royal Air Force fly-over at the Trooping The Colour ceremony during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations on June 2. He appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony with Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II, his mom, Kate Middleton, and his sister, Princess Charlotte.
Kate Is Hoisted Up High

Kate took part in an England rugby training session in February after taking over from Harry to become Patron of the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League.

The Princess of Wales was in fits of giggles as she was hoisted up into the air at Twickenham Stadium in London.
Showing Support For Ukraine

The royal family made sure to show their support for Ukraine following the Russian invasion.

Charles and Camilla were pictured lighting candles at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in London.

Charles also travelled to Romania to visit refugees, mostly women and children, from the war who managed to find safety in the neighbouring Eastern European country.
The Invictus Games

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spent their Easter in The Hague, Netherlands, as they attended the 2022 Invictus Games.

The couple were seen holding hands and looking loved-up on numerous occasions as they watched multiple events take place.
A Tale of Two Dynasties

Prince Charles and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau headed to a sustainable finance roundtable meeting with business leaders in Ottawa as part of the Canadian Royal Tour on May 18.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge dazzled at the Royal Film Performance screening of "Top Gun: Maverick" on May 19. They rubbed shoulders with star Tom Cruise at the UK premiere of the blockbuster sequel to the 1986 movie.

Kate wore Roland Mouret, while William wore an Alexander McQueen tuxedo paired with Crocket & Jones loafers embroidered with an F-18 fighter jet — the same aircraft flown by Cruise's character in the movie.
This Is 40

The Duchess of Cambridge's portrait, taken by fashion photographer Paolo Roversi at the Royal Botanic Kew Gardens in Richmond ahead of the royal's 40th birthday on January 9, will enter the permanent Collection of the National Portrait Gallery, where the duchess is a patron. The gallery is set to re-open in 2023.

A Balmoral Goodbye

During her final royal engagement, Queen Elizabeth II met with newly elected Prime Minister Liz Truss at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeen, Scotland, on September 6, 2022. The Queen broke the tradition of meeting new prime ministers at Buckingham Palace and opted to remain at Balmoral instead because of her mobility issues.

Queen Elizabeth II made a last-minute surprise appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on June 5, the final day of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations that marked her 70 years on the throne. After cancelling appearances on June 3 and 4 after experiencing "some discomfort" during her June 2 attendance at the Trooping the Colour jubilee ceremony, the Queen made the unscheduled appearance alongside the royal family during the Platinum Pageant, a parade of more than 10,000 people. It would become her final balcony appearance.

As part of the Platinum Jubilee concert on June 4, crowds watched a charming film of Queen Elizabeth II having tea with Paddington Bear on a big screen in front of Buckingham Palace in London.
The New Kids In Town

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were pictured beaming as they held William and Kate's hands while making their way to their new school, Lambrook, in Windsor.

The picture was taken the day before Her Majesty passed away, after the family moved from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage.
A Final Farewell

Following Queen Elizabeth II's passing on September 8 and 10 days of mourning, Britain's longest-reigning monarch was laid to rest alongside her husband, Prince Phillip. Pallbearers carried her coffin, topped with the Imperial State Crown, into St. George's Chapel in Windsor on September 19.

The Princess of Wales attended the first state banquet of King Charles III's reign, which hosted the president of South Africa at Buckingham Palace on November 22. She wore Jenny Packham paired Queen Mary's Lover's Knot tiara for the occasion.

Prince Harry delivered a keynote speech at the United Nations General Assembly on July 18 in honour of Nelson Mandela International Day. Meghan Markle also attended the assembly in honour of the late anti-apartheid activist who became South Africa’s first black president after serving 27 years in prison.

In September 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a deal with Netflix "to develop scripted and unscripted series, film, documentaries, and children programming for the streaming service." Thanks to this partnership, we've been granted "Harry & Meghan", a controversial six-part documentary series that's a collab between the runaway royals and director Liz Garbus. Rotten Tomatoes reports a 45% approval rating. The critics are giving it mixed reviews (at best). The press is investigating the veracity of the couple's claims of mistreatment from the British press. And they lived happily ever after.
William Wants 'Togetherness' Over The Holidays

William delivered a speech about "togetherness" while supporting his wife Kate at her second Christmas carol service; “Royal Carols: Together At Christmas”.

Amid the controversy surrounding Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary, William quoted an extract from the late Queen Elizabeth II’s 2012 Christmas message.

Her Majesty had said that she was “always struck by the spirit of togetherness” during the holiday season.
